about.

Since I was a kid, I considered myself a person who can be very creative. I would daydream about ideas of different lands living in, it's what got me into art, seeing other people's ideas in shows, movies, comics, etc, I  wanted to share my ideas with the world. So when I start brainstorming ideas even when I am struggling to come up with one,  like a kid that comes up with an idea, I just tend to add on or change it until I get to an idea that I like and I feel comfortable attempting to try even if I don't execute it as well as I want to. My memory is pretty terrible so I tend to write the really good Ideas down unless I think about it daily.

I don’t usually have one set-and-stone way I start with when drawing. Sometimes I do thumbnails of numerous ideas that I like with similar concepts, other times I see the vision in my head, I just go straight into sketching the idea. If I don't have a precise idea in my head on how to do I google references and if it's an idea I don’t know an abundance amount of information about, I would research the topic or idea. Once I get into the sketch and finish, I just go over to ensure everything is where I want it to be. Sometimes as I’m drawing I think of new ideas and I make copies to try them out to see if they work. Once I do all that I go into coloring to try to finish it and go back to change or add Ideas when I can.

I got into creating a lot of art late, it was something I used to do for fun because I didn't know or lacked the confidence to at the time if I could do that as a job full time. I haven't done exhibitions and I think I’ve done a commission one time and it was free, but as I am going through the years at the School of Visual Arts, I have gotten more confident in my abilities that I am improving and soon would want to do more commission.
